Pretty as a rose.

What is more popular than the rose in the world of tattooing?
Nothing!
As a tattoo artists we do roses by themselves, roses as backgrounds, roses as filler, roses as accents, roses as decoration on bits of other tattoos...
We do a lot of roses.
They are almost always some sort of take on the old traditional rose.
Even the fancy ones are usually semi hard outlined and exaggerated forms of the rose...
Bummer, because a rose is a beautiful flower and it need not be done as a bold graphic.

So here we have it.
Just an example of a long stem red rose.
Pretty - isn't it?
So.. next time you think about getting some roses tattooed..
Maybe think about doing it a little bit towards the realistic.
